Me: freelance writer, editor and copywriter, specialising in travel.
AGED 7: FAMOUS NOVELIST
My plot-less story about a bad Santa somehow won a national writing competition, so here I am smirking while being papped by actual paparazzi for the local paper. New jumper and headband; excessively pleased with both. Fringe needs a wash though.
Twenty-plus years later, I wrote a book about the world's most bonk-worthy boudoirs for Mr & Mrs Smith, with pictures by Polly Brown; published by Thames & Hudson. Disclaimer: the majority of these pages were written from an unsexy desk in Peckham.
Copywriting is my bread and butter. As well as teaming up with tourist boards and airlines to produce travel content, I also regularly work for London-based digital agency Sectorlight, providing copy for luxury clients such as W Algarve.
SEXY TRAVEL WRITING
I've been lucky enough to visit and write about countries such as Sri Lanka, Greece, Thailand, Singapore, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Indonesia. I also worked for two and a half years in Australia, based in Melbourne.
